This course is designed to improve human relationships through an understanding of the principles of effective interpersonal communication. Students participate actively in listening, perceiving, interpreting words and meanings, conflict resolution, assertiveness, nonverbal awareness, developing trusting relationships, and considering the role of the self-concept. Prerequisite: COM103 or ENL101 / 3 credits. Offered in the Fall and Spring.
