Prerequisite: Successful completion of ENG 101 with "C" or better and CJS 101 or CJS105. 3 credits formerly CJ 201 Constitutional Law CJS 210 offers a comprehensive study and analysis of the United States Constitution with special emphasis on those amendments to the Constitution that affect the administration of justice; a study and review of court decisions which interpret the Constitution, especially those decisions of the Supreme Court of the United States; an intensive analysis of the principles and theories that limit the authority and powers of state and local governments; and a consideration of the specific guidelines that must be followed by those involved inthe criminal justice process.
