Prerequisite: Successful completion of ENG 101 with "C" or better and CJS 101, CJS 105,or CJS 102. 3 credits formerly CJ 206 Juvenile Justice This course examines in detail how the juvenile justice process has evolved and expanded as society has sought to understand, control and influence change in the delinquent behavior of children and youth. Students study police responsibility and techniques in the prevention and control of juvenile disorder. Attention is given to the latest legislation concerning methods of dealing with acts of delinquency. An input process-output analysis of system clients is included.
