Review of math, metric, terms, and concepts used in chemistry. Emphasis on atomic theory, types of chemical bonds, energy relationships, solutions, acids, and chemical reactions. Includes an introduction to organic chemistrty and useful Internet sites. (1 cr. hr.) (Fall, Spring). Required for pre-nursing students who have not met high school chemistry/ college chemistry prerequisite grades for entrance into the nursing program. Recommended for students who have not taken high school chemistry or those wanting a refresher course before taking SCIN 1010 or 1020. Does not satisfy lab science requirements. Does not satisfy high school chemistry prerequiste for CHEM 1510 or higher.
