Drawing is a basic thinking and visualization tool to any art discipline. This foundation course goes to the core of drawing as making sensitive, well-understood and named marks. Its purpose is to lead the student into understanding the intuitive, the visual and the spoken vocabulary of drawing. Students will realize perceptual values as they relate to conceptual values. The extended content of the course will be developed through various in-class exercises and extensive homework projects.
