This course covers the history of the United States from the post-Civil War period (1865) to the present. Emphasis is placed on the social, economic, political and diplomatic history. The course is designed to present history as a dynamic process, encouraging students to think historically and to encourage students to value history. This course partially satisfies the writing requirements outlined in the General Education requirements. 47 contact hours.
