4 Credits Prerequisites: MTH 1111 with a final grade of 80% or higher This is a mathematics course strictly for non-mathematics and non-science majors. It will consist of brief introduction to descriptive statistics concentrating on levels of measurement, measures of central tendency, and measures of variation. In addition it will discuss the construction and various uses for contingency tables. The remainder of the course will consist in inferential statistics with emphasis on 1- and 2- Sample z- and t- Tests, One-way Analysis of Variance, Chi-square tests , and the basics of correlation and regression.
