4 Credits Prerequisite: EDU2001, EDU2002 and Admissions to the Education Department This course enables pre-service mathematics teachers to identify strategies that are in keeping with the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics Standards. Students explore the profound relationship between the processes that children use to understand math and the techniques that the teacher uses to maximize learning. The students demonstrate lessons in math that incorporate the standards to foster the meaningful learning of mathematics.
