4 Credits This course is designed to provide the student with basic concepts of Earth Science. The Earth as a dynamically evolving planet will be addressed within the context of its historical progression through time and space. This Earth Science course will include topics in astronomy, meteorology, geology, oceanography, glaciation, and Earth history. Emphasis will be placed upon laboratory investigations designed to provide an understanding of the Earth's structure and processes, the Earth's position in time and space andinformation about the Earth as an interacting and harmonious system. (Open to all students.)
