4 credits Lab fee: $20 Note: All supplemental costs are the responsibility of the student. Textile Science is an introductory course in textiles. Following an overview of the textile industry and the components of textile products (fiber, yarn, fabric, coloration, and finish), the student will study natural and manufactured fibers, fiber modifications, and yarn formation systems. The course will conclude with a brief review of fabrics, coloration, and finishes.
