Focus on late 20th-century voices of the decolonized addressing the effects of the colonial past and decolonization on their national, cultural, and individual identities.The literary texts we study come from the English- speaking world, particularly the Anglophone Caribbean, Anglophone Africa, and India.The theoretical readings include texts by Frantz Fanon and Edward Said.
