1 semester, 4 credits An introductory course designed to familiarize students with the principles and scope of ecology.The ecosystem approach is emphasized. Some consideration is given to environmental pollution and conservation of natural resources. Field trips are designed to acquaint students with the various habitats present in Rhode Island and the neighboring states. Prerequisites: BIO 103-104 and permission of the instructor.
