The theoretical and practical aspects of costuming for the theatre are covered through a lecture-laboratory format. The history of fashion and theatrical costume is studied to enable an actor to develop an understanding and appreciation of this integral part of theatre. How the costume affects the movement and character of the actor is also explored and defined. The student, upon completion of this course, will be able to analyze and execute a costume plot. 3 credits.
