Discussions include membrane structure, transport channels, membrane receptors and signal transduction, motility as well as mechanisms of cellular reproduction such as DNA replication, transcription, translation and regulation of gene expression. An experimental approach is used to familiarize students with treatments of experimental data. Prerequisite: BI 207.
