Basic movements inspired by jazz, rock, and other popular musical idioms are explored through the American dance styles developed for recreational and theatrical performance in this course. Readings, written assignments and attendance at performances are required. Note: One section of the three principal dance disciplines (MDT 114, MDT 115, MDT 116) may be taken to fulfill an Area 3 requirement. Other sections may be taken for major and elective credits.
