4 Credits Prerequisite: EDU 2001, EDU 2002, EDP 3013 and Admissions to the Education Department Note: Required course for Teacher of Disabilities Certification The focus of this course is on the individual learner. We will examine learning characteristics of individuals with special needs, and explore how these characteristics are manifested in the classroom and in life. In addition, we will focus on the tools and skills that these individuals will need in order to function effectively. This course will introduce assistive technology and will make the connection between assistive technology and learner characteristics.
