This course provides studio experience with intaglio printmaking, also known as etching. Processes including drypoint, aquatint, softground, and color viscosity are covered through explorative projects. Photographic and digital-based imagery are investigated along with hand-rendering techniques, in the production of original prints. Prerequisite: ART 105 Drawing and Composition I and/or ART 110 Two Dimensional Design or permission of instructor
