1 semester, 3 credits Advanced students study ensemble techniques necessary for the creation of non-scripted, non-traditional performance pieces. Simple physically based exercises grow into complex character-centered verbal improvisation. Includes introduction to the developmental techniques of Chaikin, Spolin, Brooke, and Grotowski. Improvisations are especially helpful to students with physical inhibitions or movement problems. Prerequisite: TDF 109.
