SSCI 561 - Latinos in the United States

Students examine recent scholarship on Latinos in the United States and undertake graduate-level research projects, with focus on Latino narratives, literature, film, and art. Students may receive credit for only one of the following: Anthropology 561, Secondary Education 461, or Social Science 561. 3 credit hours. Prerequisite: graduate status and any 300-level social or behavioral science course, or consent of department chair. Offered as needed. Prior to enrolling in any graduate-level (500- and 600-level) social work course, all students must be accepted into the M.S.W. program. Nonmatriculated graduate students may take SWRK 520 and 522, if they have a bachelor's degree.
