Students will learn the necessary advanced skills to major in English. Those skills include but are not limited to close reading, demonstrating knowledge and application of literary terms, demonstrating the skills of summary/paraphrasing, analyzing poetry, acquiring a working knowledge of literary criticism, and possessing a clear understanding of documentation skills. Prerequisites: ENGL 101 Composition I and ENGL 102 Composition II.
