This course is designed to provide students with an overview of the fundamentals of criminal investigation and to introduce a va-riety of investigative techniques and proce-dures. Students will also learn about the na-ture of evidence; the collection of evidence; the handling and preservation of evidence and trace materials, and; the basic steps involved in a criminal investigation: information, inter-rogation, and instrumentation.
