This course is designed to introduce students to the concept of health as a cross- cultural issue. Students will examine their own health beliefs and practices and expand their understanding of health and health issues of the developing world. Contemporary health issues will be analyzed. Health-care delivery systems in selected countries in Asia and Africa will be examined and compared to the American health care system.
