Examination of the nature of toxic wastes in New Jersey, how waste dumps are sited, the basic chemistry and toxicology of dump components, the impact on people and the environment, the development of public policy for control and cleanup of SuperFund sites in New Jersey, and implications for the future and the world. The disciplines represented in the course include Chemistry, Economics, and Political Science.
