2 semesters, 4 credits each An introduction to research design and statistical analysis in psychology. Basic principles of scientific inquiry are followed by intensive development of techniques involved in conducting, analyzing, interpreting and reporting psychological research. Experimental and non-experimental methodologies are reviewed, with emphasis on the selection of appropriate designs for different research questions. This course is required of psychology majors and serves as a prerequisite for PSY 402-409. Prerequisites: PSY 100 and MTH core requirement, or permission of the instructor.
