Examination of remote sensing concepts beginning with the space segment (orbits, spacecraft, up/downlink communications) and the ground segment (computers, storage, data processing). Remotely sensed images will be processed and analyzed for use in the classroom on: polar sea ice, snow cover, volcanoes, ozone, etc. The course will not have any formal meetings.
