This course will cover a wide range of basic concepts and information in human nutrition. It will help students connect their knowledge of biological mechanisms to an understanding of how nutrition influences health and disease. The course will enable students to evaluate popular diets and nutrition plans. The course will examine numerous personal and public health issues related to nutrition and diet. Students completing this course should be able to develop a healthy diet which will serve them over their lifetime.
