This course will provide an in depth study of electronic media and telecommunications in America by tracing and researching media-telecommunications infrastructures from an historical perspective. Further, the course will examine convergence of the broadcast-telecommunications and related on-line media industries including, but not limited to, the traditional radio-television-cable systems, computer companies, telephone systems and emerging personal and industrial wireless media infrastructures.
