A course in swimming and basic water safety skills and knowledge which will enable the student to be reasonably safe while in, on, or about the water. Psychological barriers will be attached on an individual basis for students possessing preconceived fears of water. Individualized programs will be developed for class members as they progress according to their ability. The first part of the course comprises the American National Red Cross beginners' course.
