Macroeconomics is a study of the whole or overall economy, focusing on inflation, unemployment, global trade, and periods of expansion followed by contractions of domestic output. It also includes a study of interest rates, trade deficits, budget deficits, and the production of economic knowledge itself. You will learn various economic theories that facilitate an understanding and interpretation of these matters.
