MGT 491 - Internship in Management and Leadership

3 credits Supplements classroom principles and theories by offering students the opportunity to work under the supervision of managers of Route 1 corridor companies and organizations. The internship program is designed to provide departmental majors with a first-hand look at the managerial role in medium to large organizations. Work-study programs are worked out between the organization and the instructor for each intern. It is expected that students will spend a minimum of eight hours per week working in selected organizations. Prerequisites: major in management and organizational behavior or human resource management and MGT-363, or senior status, and permission of the instructor.
