This course willexamine the impact of race on voting behavior, access to leadershipopportunities, the exercise of leadership, and the making of publicpolicies. The course includes a survey of the history of the changingstatus of racial minorities in the United States, an analysis of thegradual integration in the American political mainstream, and anassessment of the public policies targeted at these groups
