Required of all students who are assigned to it on the basis of SAT scores and a writing sample. This course does not fulfill University Core Curriculum writing requirements. RATIONAL for a WTNG 100 Placement The protocol for placing students into a Writing course now involves both the SAT-CR and SATWriting Scores. If either is 520 or above, the student is initially placed into WTNG 102. If the score is 510 or below on both tests, the student’s initial placement is WTNG 100. An in-class diagnostic conducted during the first week of classes confirms or challenges the placement.
