Fulfills a course requirement in the Psychology Core ConcentrationPrerequisites: PSYCH 100 or BIO 103This course examines the evolutionary development of behavioral,cognitive, and affective tendencies in humans. Special attention willbe paid to possible sex differences in behavioral tendencies. Care willbe taken to address the controversies involved in the nature/nurturedebate. Dichotomization of the genetic factors from experiential factorswill be evaluated in terms of what has come to be known as Galton'sError (attempts to explain human traits as either inherited or due toenvironmental factors). The course represents an attempt to identify thevarious aspects of "human nature"
