Prerequisites: MATH 01340 and MATH 01231 and MATH 01330 and MATH 01310 or MATH 01340 and MATH 01231 and MATH 01330 and STAT 02360 This course is designed to integrate students' knowledge of mathematics and to further develop their problem solving abilities. The course content includes problem-solving techniques, a review of the literature of mathematics, solving problems drawn from a variety of current resources, and study of techniques of proof and issues in the philosophy of mathematics and its foundation. Additionally, each student is required to write and to present orally, a research report on a mathematical topic.
