This capstone course requires the student to initiate an investigation, which seeks to extend or verify knowledge in physical science. The student, in consultation with a faculty advisor, initiates an experiment or theoretical investigation based on the results of a literature search. The student is required to submit a scientific paper detailing the results of the investigation and make an oral presentation to the faculty of the department. This integrated course is a requirement for senior chemistry majors. Prerequisite: Completion of all core requirements or permission of department chairperson
