Prerequisite: SPA 241 This course is a survey of Spanish peninsular literature from the Middle Ages to the present. The course will focus on key periods in Spanish literature through the study of representative texts to provide students with an understanding of the richness and variety of Spanish literature, an appreciation of singular masterpieces, as well as the historical and cultural forces which influenced them.
