ARTV 1161 & experience with Macintosh OS and Photoshop. Not open to those with credit for ARTV 3621. Formerly: ARTV 3621. Arts course (A). This course will emphasize the use of design skills and information structure in the creation of Web based documents. The primary application used during the semester will be Macromedia Dreamweaver. In addition to Dreamweaver, students will make use of other supplementary web applications such as Photoshop and Illustrator. The primary goal of the course is to help students integrate the necessary skills for effective web page creation from a programmatic and graphic perspective. Topics covered include optimizing web graphics, page layout within the limits of browser capabilities, cross platform issues, compatibility, and JavaScript.
