Not open to those with credit for ANTH 2110. Various qualitative (non-statistical) methods employed by the anthropologist to collect data. Students will engage in semester-long fieldwork in a cultural scene selected in consultation with the instructor. Students will conduct in-depth observations and interviews leading to descriptions of beliefs, values, and behaviors in the cultural scene, and will write about the experience of anthropological fieldwork.
