Arts course (A) Course content includes fundamentals of reading, playing basic woodwind literature, ensemble playing, harmonization, improvisation and sight-reading. Intended for the student who was little or no previous woodwind study or music reading. Open to anyone who wishes to learn how to play a woodwind instrument. Emphasizes development of jazz saxophone technique. Student must provide own instrument.
