ARTP 2183 or Permission of Instructor required. Arts course (A). Studio format introduction to the principles and practices of theatrical scene design. Topics include design theory -composition, arrangement, color, and period and style- in response to dramatic script analysis, preparation of design concepts, collaboration with directors and other designers, creation of models and renderings of concept, and working drawings necessary for the execution of design concepts.
