LANG 2241. Permission of Instructor required. This course traces the structure, history and dialects of the Spanish language. It is intended for students interested in second language acquisition as well as in pursuing advanced studies in Spanish language, culture and literature. Selected readings of major contributions in linguistics will focus on the most critical time periods as these works relate to the most significant socio-linguistic findings in Spanish speaking countries.
