All freshmen and sophomore nursing classes, NURS 3901. Using Neuman's Systems Model as a theoretical framework for understanding mental health stressors, students study the foundations of mental health nursing. Neurology, therapeutic approaches, mental disorders, neurobehavioral brain disorders, substance-related disorders and dysinhibition syndromes will provide the cognitive foundation for safe and effective practice.
