Open only to juniors and seniors. All junior and senior physics majors must enroll in PHYS 4260 when they have completed 64 credits. They must enroll in PHYS 4260 each term thereafter until they graduate. An introduction to scientific research in the library, planning for a senior research project and preparation for graduate record examinations. Learning presentation skills culminating in a presentation to the Physics Colloquium. Seniors will work on their senior project, write their report following guidelines, present their project at the colloquiumand at the NAMS poster session. They will be encouraged to give presentations at the national meetings.
