MARS 2201 OR MARS 2202, BIOL 2100, MATH 1100. A marine biology course that specializes in the early life history of marine fish and invertebrates. Most mortality occurs during the early life history stages and thus it is important to understand larval characteristics and the factors and processes that determine which larvae survive to the adult stage. This course investigates the morphology, evolution, physiology, ecology and oceanography of marine larvae in relation to the recruitment process.
