The course will examine how Modern (and ancient) Greece and Greeks have been viewed by modern authors. We will examine a number of works such as L. Durrell's "Prospero's Cell", N. Kazantzakis' "Zorba the Greek", H. Miller's "The Colossus of Maroussi", Corelli's "Mandolin" by L. de Bernieres and a few more.
