Lawyers and their clients have a right to privacy. Learn the fundamental and current issues of privacy laws in the U.S. legal system. Topics include the Federal HIPPAA Privacy Rule for Health Information, privacy issues on the internet, electronic surveillance, the Electronic Communications Privacy Act, the Children's On- Line Privacy Protection Act, and financial data privacy rules under Gramm-Lech Bliley, as well as other topics. Prerequisite: LEI 101.
