Comprehensive study of bankruptcy law and practice with an emphasis on consumer filings. Course consists of reviewing different types of consumer and commercial bankruptcies, relevant federal legislation governing bankruptcy, bankruptcy code, and resource materials necessary to bankruptcy practice. Course also places emphasis on procedural rules and responsibilities of all parties involved. Prerequisites: LEI 101, 102, and 205.
