This course will acquaint the elementary or secondary pre-service teacher with the skills vital to preparing, presenting, and organizing effective learning experiences while maintaining a well-managed and appropriately disciplined classroom setting. Students will prepare and present several videotaped lessons for critique. A coaching procedure for the refinement and improvement of teaching skills will be used. The student will engage in the use of modern technology as an instructional resource. This course will prepare the student with effective instructional skill that will be necessary for the Student Teaching Experience the following semester. Testing fee required. Field requirement (60 hours). Prerequisite: ED 448.
