4 Credits Pre-requisite : The Biology of Plants and The Biology of Animals A study of the dynamics of population growth, predator-prey interaction, competition theory, and biogeography. The mechanisms that regulate population numbers and species co-existence are examined. Emphasis is placed on the impact of the non-native (invasive) species on native populations. Topics include resource allocation patterns, life-history strategies, breeding systems, competition, stress tolerance, and ecological management practices.
