Prerequisites: PHED 35219 Corequisitie: PHED 35239 This course provides an examination of the etiology, epidemiology, pathology and assessment of injuries and illnesses to the upper extremity, head, axial skeleton, chest, and thorax. Structural, functional and surface anatomy will be reviewed. In addition to didactic classroom time, students are also instructed, given time to practice and evaluated on pertinent athletic training psychomotor competencies and clinical proficiencies within a practical laboratory experience. There is an observational field experience associated with this class.
